Over the summer months, we've iterated upon how we collect & process the market data streams from each of our supported exchanges. Our initial approach functioned well, however the introduction of aggregation we decided to adopt a new method that scales alongside our expanding market coverage.

🚀 New Liquidation Map Theme

Earlier in the month, we released our new Liquidation Map - a predictive heatmap that attempts to estimate where liquidation and stop loss orders may be triggered in the future. Updated in real-time, the Liquidation Map is like any other layer on MMT - you have full flexibility to combine alongside Footprints, TPO or even the Order Book Heatmap. Although this layering of tools is a great method to gain confluence, we felt the Liquidation Map needed a few tweaks, to visually separate it from the other layers.

From today's update we've added a native 'MMT Liquidations' colormap. This colormap is designed to visually filter out fainter plots - those with a predicted high stop to liquidation skew. The key difference is that the rendered gradient has been scaled with a slightly more aggressive distribution. This aims to reduce noise on lower time-frames, in addition to being easier to visually distinguish from other layers. Note that this is purely a visual adjustment, the underlying algorithm used to predict when liquidation or stop-loss orders could be triggered has not been altered. This includes the accumulation of plots at the same price group.

⭐️ Aggregate Inverse Perpetual Heatmaps

Throughout the summer, MMT has added support for a number of inverse (or Coin-Margined) perpetual markets. We are happy to share that all inverse pairs from Bybit, BitMEX & Deribit can now have their heatmap aggregated alongside their linear(USD-Margined) counterparts.

For markets such as BTC - this allows you to aggregate order book data across a total of 13 different pairs. In the near future we plan to roll out inverse aggregation cross all supported layers.

🧪 Scripting Sneak Peak

Whilst we have built an entire suite of tools and indicators to examine the market, the time is nearly here to build your very own. Unlike other platforms, the data displayed within your terminal is the same, unadulterated data published directly by the exchange. Rather than estimations or aggregations based on timescales, the true, raw market flows can be accurately assessed on MMT.

The first iteration of custom scripting is just about to be pulled hot out the oven. Upon release, you will have access to MMT's full range of data sources, allowing you or AI… to combine, calculate and plot your very own unique edge.

Final testing is currently underway by the interns, with release expected shortly. Long term, we want to ensure that this is as accessible as possible to all traders, regardless of technical ability. Ultimately, scripting marks is the first stage in unlocking a series of major new additions unique to MMT.
